In a perfect world nutrition supplementation is not necessary. Unfortunately, we do not live in a perfect world. We live in a modern world and the more advanced we become, the more unnaturally we live. We adapt and change our environment, often to our own detriment. As a result of this we need to take supplements for our nutritional needs. Ideally supplementation includes changes and improvements in dietary and nutritional habits.

I feed her Adult Rabbit Advanced Nutrition Diet food. It says that it has a mix of fruits, veggies, seeds and grain. But the problem is, she don't eat a lot at every. I give her treats which is called 'mixed berry'n Nut treat. I give her Baked Croissants which is also a treat, and i give her Crispy Minis honey flavor treat sticks. But she plays around with the honey stick. She drinks out of my dogs water bowl instead of hers, she plays with his toys, and she does not like any of her treats. She does not eat the brown pellet things in her food, she just likes the other things. I don't know what to feed her. She likes to bite on my sheet on my bed and also on my shirt. Am i doing anything wrong??? Please help me. I got her about 2 weeks ago and the guy gave me the food that she is eating now. The guy i had gotten her from told me that he had her for 4 years. But i will be getting her fixed because i heard she can die faster and have cancer at 5 years old. How would you know how old a rabbit is? i will be taking her to the vet soon to receive her fixed.

I've been doing research on nearsightedness for a while now, looking for ways to improve, if only marginally, my vision naturally. I've found that marginal improvements are indeed realistic and possible. As to dramatic improvements, I've yet to find an answer. My first question therefore is, "Is it possible to achieve dramatic improvements in vision via natural methods?" Then, "Have there been documented cases of dramatic vision improvement via natural methods? Or even supernatural - but not artificial (miracles, if you would. People who every of a sudden receive their vision back)? Can you link me to an article or something?" Then I'd have to ask, "By what means? Nutrition? Eye exercise?" With research, I've lost wish in the myths that eating carrots excessively or performing eye exercises daily improves vision. I understand though that having proper nutrition would help to maintain good eyesight, and that vitamin A is a key nutrient in that. Improvement, though, is what I'm looking for, and is not the same as maintenance. If there are indeed methods, what would they be? In regards to maintenance, my optometrist informed me that I should take a break every 30-45 minutes of close-visual activity and focus on something that is at a distance. My question: Could I not just look at a big picture up close in which an object within the picture is at a distance? Would that not be the same? Or, would it have something to do with the finite pixel amount of a picture or computer screen, or just the proximity of my face to the picture, etc? And the final question (at the moment) that I have would be regarding a hypothetical of mine. Myopia is a result of the elongation of the eyeball (correct me if I'm wrong), due (by environmental factors) to the straining of the eye. This causes light to focus in front of the retina, rather than directly on it. The strain of the eye is generally associated with viewing close objects for extended periods of time. Were I to view distant objects for an extended period of time, would the eye strain in the opposite direction? Maybe that's a retarded idea, I don't know. But it would seem logical, I thought? Considering the purpose of eye muscles is to reshape the lens for better focus, viewing objects far vs close would require opposite lens shapes, right? So... I would, in theory, be able to strain my eye back to its normal state? Again, it might sound dumb, but I don't know much of the physiology or optics, so I'm basing this entirely off of dumb logic. Thanks. Answers to any of these would be helpful. Along with sources.

Some of my medication has caused me to have a pretty big decrease in appetite, so I am not getting enough nutrients. I have been getting nice of sick because of this (I have very low blood pressure, and very high heart rate) with lots of headaches, and every over feeling bad. I don't really want to eat any more than I am at the moment, but I need to receive more nutrients into my system, so my doctor recommended I try nutrition/supplement drinks and shakes. What would some good ones to try for what I need? Thanks for any suggestions.

However, this year I feel so nervous and the orientation starts next week. I don't know what's making me so nervous. Anyway can you please help me by saying something that could calm me down. Thank you

I guess I tend to swing to the extremes often. I'm a young female adult and, being in college, usually have to have an every-nighter at some point during finals week (not so much for the tests themselves- I always receive a good night's snooze before exams- but rather for every the term papers due then). I also have a very odd eating ethic. Sometimes if I'm busy and forget/don't have time to eat, or if I'm just curious to look how far I can push myself, I won't eat for a long time. And I'm curious about how my extreme-ness compares to the relax of you. Longest without any nutrition (only water)- 5 days (just morbid curiosity; I started eating again when I couldn't stand up without feeling dizzy) Longest without any solid food (juices, milk, water, coffee, tea)- a week (I felt fine, actually, but figured a week was long enough) Longest without water- haha maybe 30 minutes. Longest without snooze- 65 hours (double every-nighter and then some for schoolwork. I aced the term papers, but never doing that again... scary stuff happened...) Longest distance walked at one time- 80 miles over 4 days (camping trip) How about you? What terrible extremes have you subjected your body to?

I have some questions and concerns regarding my gynecomastia situation. I'm not sure if anyone will respond to this letter but I figure it's worth a shot. I'll start off by asking if you could be so nice as to read this entire letter even if it may sound boring. I have been exercising vigorously and consistently for about two years now. I am 5 foot 7 inches tall and weigh about 155 lbs. I perform mainly short, high intensity workouts and some weight lifting, anywhere from 2 to 4 hours a day. I am a firm believer in having a healthy diet and a high activity level every throught out the day. I believe I suffer from the hormonal gynecomastia and not the excess fat form of gynecomastia because I am thin but I have "puffy, pointy" looking nipples. Although I am pleased with how the relax of my body looks because I have a muscular physique and a six-pack. However, my chest is not proportional with the relax of my body and contains a little too much fat. I have been doing everything you're suppose to do as far as having a healthy diet, eating foods that increase metabolism, eating smaller more frequent meals about six times through out the day, working out every muscle groups, taking one day off per week, implementing muscle confusion, incline and every chest workouts three days a week, cardio in between muscle building days, and avoiding things such as beer, marijuana, unhealthy foods, simple carbohydrates, basically anything you have mentioned not to do. It wasn’t difficult for me to take these steps because that’s how I have been living my life for the past couple of years. I remember hearing that people who suffer from hormonal gynecomastia don’t receive very far with just eating right and exercising because that is not the source of the problem. I need your advice on what the next step should be, whether I should try a certain type of pill, while maintaining this healthy active lifestyle, or to just continue what I've been doing and that eventually things will receive better, which seems unlikely at this point. I went to my primary doctor about this concern of mine and he told me that there is absolutely nothing I can do except surgery. I asked if there were any hormonal pills he would recommend and his answer was that there is nothing out there that would specifically melt my chest fat and that everything is a scam. I understand there are guys out there that have it a lot worse than I do, which is why I have been so patient and persistent with this strict lifestyle for quite some time now. I’ve had friends say things to me such as why are your nipples so difficult, to nice Hershey kiss nipples, to nice A cup. I know it sounds silly but when you base your life around constant exercise and nutrition, it’s difficult to explain to people what’s wrong with me and ultimately humiliating. It would be like looking at a UFC fighter who is in excellent shape with man boobs and thinking, “something is definitely wrong there.” Clearly, the only thing I haven’t tried yet is hormonal pills, but I am skeptical of which ones are scams and which ones actually work. Surgery is out of the question because I am uncomfortable with the idea of someone cutting my body apart with a knife. I’m assuming if people answer back to this, they will tell me to try turmeric, zinc or gynexin or some other hormonal supplement. I take a daily vitamin called Mega Men Sport everyday, which contains zinc and a bunch of different vitamins. If you think I should try turmeric or gynexin or whatever you think might help please tell me why, I would really appreciate it. Again I apologize for the drawn-out letter but it’s necessary you know every specific detail in order to determine the best solution. Thank you for reading this, and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you have to offer. Sincerely, Gabriel

I am breastfeeding and was just diagnosed with HPV and cervical dysplasia. I want to avoid surgery because it can cause issues with future pregnancies. I have heard women hav reversed both of my porblems by taking monolaurin, whic is an anitiviral agent found in breast milk. Well, I'm breastfeeding right now. Since monolaurin is not recommended during pregnancy or lactation, couldn't I just apply my milk to my cervix and/or drink a few oz. of it to receive the effects? I mean, my baby's nutrition comes first, but I always pump a spare bottle for work, and she never drinks it. I just toss it away. Couldn't applying/drinking it provide anti-viral effects?

So, for around 4 years I have had a problem with my body image. I'm a normal body weight but i just look at myself in the mirror and it looks as if i've been stretched sideways. So 4 years ago when i was 13 i was allowed to use diet pills by my mum (Bad idea, i know) and from then onward its just got worse. I go through fazes where i starve/quick then eat. And with each faze i take another extreme, I'm now at the point where i toss up after meals, I starve myself for up to a week, I constrict myself to 800 calories a day and after dinner i'll burn 600 in the gym, i'll abuse laxatives and i'll abuse Welda Ipecac to induce vomiting. I am now beginning to realize that this is getting out of control. Though i haven't had health problems from this because like i said its more a pattern/sequence of fazes so there are periods of time when i receive nutrition. The fazes used to be months of not caring what i'd eat (it took effort to receive that mind set into my head) and then i'd spend about 2 months doing this. But as time went on these fazes got closer together, its now only a month between each starve and vomiting faze and everything. I've been through 2 starving and vomiting fazes already in 2012. Eventually my best pal started suspecting these things, and i told her yesterday.. She wants to take me to look a doctor. But I'm terrified of the doctor turning around and saying there is nothing wrong and im being pathetic or something like that. Oh, i also have a history in self hurt if that helps your opinion. Many thanks, it seriously means a lot, because without these answers i wont gain the courage to look my doctor

Hello, I am a 26 year old female. I currently weigh 140 lbs. I started the Insanity workout program 2 weeks ago today. So far, I have gained 4 lbs ( I started at 136 lbs) and I look and feel extremely swollen. I am not following the nutrition plan word-for-word, but I have substantially limited my caloric intake, and have greatly increased my water consumption. Before beginning this workout regime, I guide a 100% sedentary lifestyle for the past 6-8 years. I am just wondering if there are any supplements that will help me to loose this water weight, and to make me feel less swollen. Also, does a lady's menstrual cycle become affected by the onset of a new workout routine? I have heard that it can cause you to cease having a menstrual period altogether. Just curious.

Hello my name is jesse and i am a 16 year old that has had Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Severe Social Anxiety Disorder for the past 3 years. I have tried many many many medications such as; Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, Lexapro, Citalopram, Effexor, Buspar, Pristiq and lorazapam but non have worked in the slightest bit even while giving them enough time to reach their fullest pottential. Im even seeing a cognitive behavioral therapist and even though hes taught me to realize how irrational the fears i still cant shake this especially in my high school during the day (especially with the battle or flight response going throughout me every day which leads to fatigue). I was just wondering what your experience was on this type of medication, would a dr be hesitant on using it on a 16 yr old adolescent like myself and finally how long it would take to look results on it. BTW my nutrition is 10/10 and i exercise 5 days a week to release endorphins. Sorry this was soo long and thank you for any response:)

Jamie gave birth at home in Granollers ( a town close Barcelona, Spain ) to her third kid, her son Dídac, 2 years ago. She works as a dietitian and she says to have healthy nutritional habits are important to have a good pregnancy and delivery. But also to continue having a slender and beautiful body after her son's birth. Although her son's homebirth was long and it took place in a tiny flat ( Dídac was born in a tiny room ), Jamie says it was an awesome experience and she thinks this was possible thanks to her good nutritional ways. For Jamie, her great beauty ( she's very beautiful ) but also her positive birth experience with her son Dídac are due to her healthy habits. P.S. Her first kids ( a boy and a girl ) were born in a hospital setting but when she was living in Granollers ( Barcelona ), she decided to give birth to her son at home because of her holistic beliefs but also because she met an empirical midwife who insisted to assist her at home. Do you agree healthy nutritional habits are basic to give birth safely and also to continue young & beautiful just like my pal Jamie ?

I have a 1yr old lab, and she wont chew her food, she just grabs and swallows. When i give her treats though, she chews them. And I thought it was a hand-feeding issue, so I gave her the kibble by hand and she just swallows it! She isn't eating her poop, but I know she is lacking nutrition. Please help me!!! We feed her twice a day and she gets 2 cups of food each time And I read that when your dog doesn't chew the food, and eats too quick, she doesn't receive every the nutrients in the food and it also could cause bloating. And we recently had to deal with her bloating last month(it was nothing serious, she ate some lentil beans. Stupid parents not listening to me. Thank God it wasnt something blocking her intestines)

Hai peoples out there :3 I want to ask are these information real : o List of Fruits & Vegetables That Help Promote Hair Growth Your body requires protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fat, vitamins and minerals to grow strong, shiny hair. Inadequate nutrition, extreme dieting or illness may result in hair loss. Your body prioritizes nutrients, with vital organs and systems receiving vitamins and minerals first, and then hair follicles and fingernails receiving whatever nutrients are left. Eating a well-balanced diet high in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A, B and C, and iron will help you grow luxurious locks. Carrots Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A, which may keep your scalp healthy -- leading to well-conditioned shiny hair, according to Good Housekeeping. Try snacking on carrots and hummus for a healthy dose of protein, monounsaturated fat and complex carbohydrates. Citrus Fruits Citrus fruits contain inositol, a type of sugar related to glucose, also known as vitamin Bh. Not only does inositol lower cholesterol and help your body break down fats, it also stops hair thinning and may protect against hair loss. Dark Leafy Green Vegetables Spinach, Swiss chard, collards and bok choy every contain vitamins A and C, which help your body produce sebum. Sebum, an oily substance produced by hair follicles, acts as a natural conditioner for your hair. These vegetables also have calcium and iron, two minerals needed for hair growth. Red Bell Peppers One red bell pepper contains more vitamin C than a cup of orange juice. Eat the pepper raw, as cooking destroys some of the nutrient content, states the University of Maine. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant which increases circulation to the scalp and promotes hair growth. Avocados Avocados are a good source of vitamin E, which is important for healthy hair growth, according to Holistic Online. Other sources of vitamin E include olive oil, vegetable oils, nuts and seeds. Cherry Juice Cherry juice is a wealthy source of iron. Anemia is a frequent cause of hair loss, so ensuring your diet contains adequate amounts of iron may prevent anemia. Dark leafy green vegetables, dates, raisins and dried fruits are also high in iron. Berries Blueberries, raspberries and cranberries contain powerful antioxidants which promote hair growth by increasing circulation to the scalp. The dark pigmentation in these berries comes from healthy bioflavonoids, wealthy in vitamin C. Thank you for your answer in advance :3

Im a 23 year old female, weighing 202lbs at 5'5 and although Im pretty well proportioned, I carry most of my weight in my stomach. (Yes, I know that isn't "healthy" although I don't have high blood pressure or other health issues.) My goal is to lose around 50-60lbs and tone up, especially in my stomach area. Well, a few days ago I signed up for the 24 hour fitness close to where I live and although I've gone twice, I would like to figure out a routine that I can do to benefit me the most... So far I've been walking to the gym, which is a little over 2 miles away, doing an additional 10-15 minutes on the treadmill once I receive there then 20+ reps on a few of the leg machines(the first day) and today I did the same with my arms. What should I add or change? To go along with that, I know I need to eat healthier but again, I dont know what will benefit me. One of the employees was explaining to me about balancing meals, eating every two hours, eating lots of fiber and protein and no carbs or sugars after 6pm but I still dont know how many carbs, proteins, fibers, etc. that I can and SHOULD eat. I wish I've explained this well, but if not, I will answer any questions you need answered. Thanks in advanced. :)

My almost 12 month old has had 2 teeth just about to pop through for the last 3 weeks & has been flat out refusing food - everything except for yoghurt. She's only just hit 8kg & it's always been difficult to put weight on her & I'm not sure what to try. I've upped her milk from 3 x 220ml bottles to 3 x 280ml so bottles so she's getting extra nutrition but not sure if that might be adding to the problem? Any tips would be very much appreciated!

(Tennis, Gym) I did got a bit tardy in the "adolescence" issue, and still haven't fully developed. So I know I will grow, at guide 1/2 inch, but how much more?

So I like to take prenatal vitamins because it helps my hair grow.. BUT I was recently told that if you take prenatal vitamins before you become pregnant (I don't plan on becoming pregnant for a couple years from now) that when you become pregnant the prenatal vitamins cease working and you wont receive nutrition to your unborn baby is that true or is it okay to take them now?
